Finland is an advanced industrial economy: the metal, engineering and electronics industries account for over 50 % of export revenues, the forest products industry for over 20 %. The net wealth of Finnish households is at the average level for member states of the European Union. In 2008, Finland’s GNP per capita was around 29 500 euros.
